UPDATE: Vine Street back open after truck hits utility pole

TOWN OF SALINA (WSYR – TV) – A stretch of Vine Street is back open after being closed for several hours following an accident involving a truck hitting a utility pole in the Town of Salina.

Liverpool police and the Onondaga County Sheriff’s office responded to a motor vehicle accident around 12:30 a.m. Friday, where a truck hit and damaged a utility pole.

27-year-old Adam Elsner was arrested at the scene and charged with DWI. Crews closed Vine Street from Commerce Avenue to Clayton Manor Drive South in order to do necessary repairs, but it is back open.

There is no word yet on any injuries or exact charges facing the driver.
