Just a day after the release of the latest New York State budget proposal, Gov. Andrew Cuomo spoke with NewsChannel 9’s Andrew Donovan about some of the issues addressed in the Executive Budget.
In the tax proposal, Cuomo discussed ides to combat the federal tax overhaul– including a state switch from income tax to payroll tax.
The state tax burden would transfer from the employee to the employer; instead of an individual being responsible for the taxes out of their paycheck, the company would pay the same amount before it’s included in the worker’s wage.
The Governor also discusses the possibility of legalizing marijuana and his speculated run for president in a one-on-on interview with Andrew Donovan.
