SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The building that used to house Sam’s Club on Erie Boulevard has been vacant since parent company Walmart closed the membership warehouse in January of 2018.

People who pass by the massive building have asked the Your Stories team if anything is planned there.

The City of Syracuse’s Director of Codes tells NewsChannel 9 that the store will be converted to a self storage facility.

Early stages of the projects were approved by the city earlier this year, but no designs have yet been submitted.
