SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A spokesperson for the Onondaga County Executive’s Office says the sidewalk on South State Street, just outside the Sheriff’s Office, will be re-open within a week.
That’s two months later than what the County Executive’s Office told NewsChannel 9’s Andrew Donovan in July.
The spokesperson said that the project was started last year, but once crews got underneath, their plans had to be re-engineered. Underneath the sidewalk is a vault for fresh air intake, in which repairs need to be made to the heating system.
