Syracuse football holds first practice in full pads

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) –

The Syracuse Orange football team held its first preseason practice with pads Friday morning.

A few starters have been missing this preseason camp including Luke Benson. Benson was seen in street clothes on Friday.

Offensive lineman Dakota Davis remains in a walking boot and defensive lineman McKinley Williams has missed time due to illness.

Syracuse will hold its first inter-squad scrimmage on Saturday.

SU opens the season on September 4th on the road at Ohio.
