Two NCAA Tournament teams will meet for the first time in program history on Nov. 10 when Syracuse heads to Eugene to face Oregon for the first road game of its 2018-19 women’s basketball season. Fans can watch the game live on the Pac-12 network at 4 p.m. EST.

Both ‘Cuse and Oregon earned at-large bids to the NCAA Tournament last season. The Ducks reached the Elite Eight where they met eventual NCAA Champion Notre Dame.

Syracuse posted a 22-9 record in 2017-18 and returns all five starters that, as a unit, started in all 31 games and made up 81.4 percent of the team’s scoring. The Orange also return 95.6 percent of its offense from last year. ‘Cuse welcomes a top-10 recruiting class consisting of McDonald’s All-American Emily Engstler, and Veronika Vorackova and Kadiatou Sissoko who both played for their native countries in the FIBA U20 Women’s European Championships in July.

Oregon reached the NCAA Elite Eight with a 33-5 overall record and won both the Pac-12 Regular Season and Tournament Championships with a 16-2 league slate. The Ducks return Ionescu and Ruthy Hebard who averaged 19.7 and 17.6 points per game, respectively, last season. The duo earned Associated Press All-American accolades and were named the Nancy Lieberman Award and Katrina McClain Award winners for the nation’s top point guard and power forward.
