The 2018-19 College Hockey America champion Syracuse women’s hockey team will face top-seed Wisconsin in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinal round. The NCAA unveiled the eight-team National Collegiate Women’s Ice Hockey Championship bracket Sunday evening.
No. 8 Syracuse (13-21-3) and No. 1 Wisconsin (32-4-2) will face off at 3 p.m. ET Saturday, March 16 at LaBahn Arena in Madison, Wis.
The Orange punched their ticket to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history Friday night, securing an automatic bid after earning their first CHA title by defeating Robert Morris, 6-2, in the CHA Tournament championship game.
Saturday’s contest will be the third meeting of the year between Syracuse and Wisconsin. The Orange traveled to LaBahn Arena in December, losing both matchups in the two-game series to the Badgers.
