LAFAYETTE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Charlotte Ryan is averaging six points a game this season and has 286 points in her career.
The LaFayette senior will be taking her lacrosse skills to the Naval Academy come fall.
“I went with coaches there and I went down for a visit and I loved it from the very beginning. I love the emphasis on morality, education, and being a leader and all of that combined,” Ryan said.
Her coach Rick Storrier said she’s exactly the kind of athlete, and person, that the Naval Academy would be looking for.
“Her leadership is second to none. In games it’s not about her, it’s about the team, and that just shows you right there what kind of athlete she is,” Storrier said.
Ryan has had success in the classroom, the soccer field, the basketball court, and the lacrosse field, and now can’t wait to get to the next level.
“Some of it is going to be very intimidating and it’s going to be something that I have to work towards and get through, but overall I think the outcome is very worth it,” Ryan said.
