CNS softball team leaves for Glens Falls to play in state semifinals

CICERO, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- To snag the championship, the girls told us their mindset is to just keep doing what they’ve been doing. It may sound like a cliche, but it is so true.

At this stage of the season, every team is good, so there is no sense in changing anything now.

Whoever executes their game plan better generally comes out on top.

We spent some time with the Northstars Friday morning as they boarded up a bus and prepared for the drive to Glens Falls.

Saturday’s game should be a good one. CNS and Victor met three weeks ago, with the Northstars coming up short on that day, 3-1.

Victor is the number one team in the state, while CNS is number three.

While there are sure to be some butterflies for the players and coaches, the overwhelming feeling is one of anticipation.

CNS and Victor play at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the Class A semifinals.

Meanwhile, in Class B, Oneida takes on Eden out of Section VI at the very same time. The Indians have won 21 straight games.
