F-M girls soccer edged by top ranked Monroe-Woodbury in state title game

CORTLAND, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) – The Fayetteville-Manlius girls soccer team made a historic run to its first ever state championship game, but came up short of its final season long goal.

The Hornets took on the reigning state champions in No. 1 ranked Monroe-Woodbury and fell 1-0.

The lone goal was scored in the second half at the 25:38 mark by the Crusaders Josephine Sorce.

F-M finishes a great season at 19-2.
