Auburn native Tim Locastro hits first major league home run against the New York Yankees

BRONX, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) –

Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Tim Locastro hit his first major league home run on Wednesday, in a 7-5 loss to the New York Yankees.

Locastro, an Auburn native and former Ithaca College standout hit a solo home run in the top of the 9th inning at Yankee Stadium.

Locastro finished the day 2-4 at the plate adding a double in the 6th inning.

In 59 games this year with the Diamondbacks, Locastro is batting .261 with 15 runs batted in.
