Baldwinsville native, Colin Gooley, wins a Sled Hockey World Championship Gold Medal with Team USA

OSTRAVA, CZECH REPUBLIC – It has been quite a season for Baldwinsville’s Colin Gooley. 

After making the 2018-19 Team USA Sled Hockey in July, he finished out the year with a gold medal in the World Championships. 

Team USA topped Team Canada 3-2 in OT. Brody Royal scored the game winning goal 5:08 into the extra period to seal the fourth World Championship gold medal for the US. 

Team USA trailed by one with under eight minutes to play in the second period before Josh Pauls tied the game at 1. 

The Red White and Blue trailed again by one with just under four minutes to play, Declan Farmer tied the game at 2 and later forced OT. 

Through the five game tournament, Colin finished with one assist in a 10-0 win over Norway.
