The special season continues for the Le Moyne women’s basketball program. The Dolphins have won its first ever conference title, topping Bentley 67-45 on Sunday.
Liz Millea led four double-digit scorers with a game-high 19 points. Former CNS standout, McKayla Roberts was named the NE10 Most Outstanding Player finishing with 10 points, 5 assists and six rebounds.
Roberts, Millea and Madison Purcell were named to the All-Northeast-10 tournament team.
Le Moyne advances to the NCAA tournament for the second time in program history. The Dolphins are the fourth seed and will face fifth seeded St. Thomas Aquinas on Friday, March 15th in the East Region out in Philadelphia. Univeristy of Sciences in the top seed in the region.
On the men’s side, Le Moyne is the three seed and also take on sixth seeded St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday, March 16th. The Dolphins will play in New Hampshire in the East Region hosted by Saint Anslem.
The times for both games are still to be determined.
