(WSYR-TV) — The Oneida High School softball team’s fantastic season came to an end after a 5-0 loss to Ardsley (Section-I) in the Class B state championship final on Saturday.
Oneida advanced to its first-ever state championship final after beating Section-VI’s Eden 5-0 earlier in the day.
Kyra Shlotzhauer had an RBI, Riley White had a 2-RBI single, Sidney Luscher had an RBI and Oneida scored off an error in the semifinal matchup.
Oneida was riding a 22-game winning streak before the loss in the finals. They finish the season Class B runner-up with a 24-2 record.
