Syracuse men’s basketball closes out exhibition tour of Italy with win

ROME, ITALY (WSYR-TV) –

The Syracuse men’s basketball team wrapped up their four-game exhibition tour of Italy on Sunday with an 82-42 win over Virtus Roma.

Elijah Hughes led the way with 20 points. Freshman forward Quincy Guerrier added a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Syracuse raced out to a 21-7 lead after the first quarter. The Orange extended the lead to 49-21 at halftime.

SU junior center Bourama Sidibe pulled in a game-high 17 rebounds, as Syracuse out rebounded Virtus Roma 52-33.

Syracuse concludes their four-game exhibition tour of Italy a perfect 4-0.
