Like a modern-day Donahue, The Mel Robbins show talks real people through the challenges they face in life. Host, motivational speaker, and author Mel Robbins gives no BS advice on topics like divorce, changing careers, family issues and more.
10 years ago, Robbins hit a rock-bottom moment. Her husband’s restaurant was failing, she lost her job and felt overwhelmed. In those life-testing moments, Robbins invented her signature 5-second rule. “When you know you need to do something you got to take action within 5 seconds or else your brain contaminates it with self-doubt, anxiety, stress, overthinking,” said Robbins. “5, 4, 3, 2, 1 will be a little tool that you can use to interrupt yourself from all of the behaviors that are keeping you from getting what you want.”
Robbins coaches everyday people through their troubles by relating through her own experience or bringing experts in to teach everyone how to deal with specific issues.
“The Mel Robbins Show is a lifeline for you so that you can get the tools that you need to take control of your life and move it forward in the direction that you want. And I’m here 5 days a week cheering for you,” said Robbins.
