ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — There will be at least one more opportunity for neighbors to learn about the proposed I-81 community grid.
Thursday night’s session at Cicero-North Syracuse High School was supposed to be the last, but DOT officials tell us one more meeting will be held in the Town of Salina at a time and place to be determined. This comes after NewsChannel 9 reported that neighbors have asked the State DOT for more meetings.
“It’s really important that we have that interaction because, really, from the beginning, you know, we’ve really refined the project and a lot of that has been based on really constructive feedback, you know, with ideas that we’ve been able to incorporate,” said David Smith, Regional Director, NYSDOT.
After that Town of Salina session is held, the DOT will schedule a public hearing where formal comments will be accepted, becoming part of the final decision.
