SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — According to Syracuse Police, two people are dead after a car crash in the area of Erie Blvd East and Lodi Street.
Syracuse Police were called to the Erie Blvd East and Lodi Street intersection for a single-vehicle collision around 10:50 p.m. Monday night.
A Nissan sedan was traveling west on Erie Boulevard East when it exited the south curb line, striking a light post before striking a tree in the median. The vehicle caught fire and two people in the vehicle were killed.
Detectives closed Erie Boulevard East from Walnut Avenue to South Beech Street for investigation.
The investigation by Syracuse Police is still in the early stages and is ongoing.
