SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Four people have smoke detectors to thank for alerting them to a house fire on Fayette Boulevard.
Just before noon on Friday, firefighters responded to a fire at a home on Fayette Boulevard, near Seeley Road. There, crews found heavy fire on the second floor and attic. Fire crews faced 90-degree heat, as well as power lines that were knocked down in the front of the home.
No one was injured and the Red Cross is assisting the residents.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
