SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A surprise for one local 12-year-old at the Syracuse Mets game on Tuesday afternoon. Evan Andrews got to throw the first pitch out at NBT Stadium, thanks to some help from Make-A-Wish. Andrews will also get to fulfill his wish of visiting the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas.
“Just to be invited into this family’s life at such a critical time and for them entrusting us with their son’s most heartfelt wish, we get to see the good in people every single day. you look at today, and this is the power of a wish,” said Dianne Kuppermann, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish Central New York.
Dunkin’ Donuts also celebrated a successful year of its Make-A-Wish star donut initiative, raising more than $86,000 in Central New York for the well-known charity.
