Man convicted in last year’s deadly stabbing at Oneida Shores

(WSYR-TV) — A jury convicted Joe Washington, 24, of Syracuse, of stabbing another man to death at Oneida Shores on the Fourth of July last year.

Washington was convicted of manslaughter in the death of Maurice Crawford, 26.

The two got into a fight at a party at the park when Washington stabbed Crawford.

Not long after the incident, Washington left the state but was later located in Michigan where he was arrested on an unrelated warrant.

He’ll be sentenced on August 12.
