(WSYR-TV) — Around 9 p.m. on Tuesday night, Oneida County Sheriff’s deputies were on a call at The Boro when they saw a teen driving a car with no plates erratically and swerving in and out of the lane.
The car almost hit a building and almost hit law enforcement vehicles by The Boro. The juvenile drove off the road a number of times through farmers fields and hit a mailbox.
Oneida County deputies and State Police followed the teen to stop the car.
Eventually, the teen did stop, but then started going again and hit a Sheriff’s patrol car head-on while the deputy was inside.
The car took off on Route 315 and lost control and went off the road and hit some trees.
It was found the 14-year-old from Sangerfield had stolen the car. The teen and the deputy were uninjured.
The identity of the 14-year-old will not be released.
