SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Syracuse Police are investigating a string of car break-ins in the Franklin Square area.
Police say 20 cars were broken into around 5:30 a.m. Sunday. All of the cars broken into had either their driver’s side or passenger’s side windows smashed, according to police.
Neighbors told NewsChannel 9, break-ins happened on both days this past weekend.
“(Neighbors are) agitated, annoyed, a little thrown off guard and a little scared of where we are at right now,” said Tyler McDonald, who had his truck broken into this past weekend. “This happened two nights in a row. We have cameras installed and stuff and they are still coming out and it happened again.”
Police are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information is asked to call Syracuse Police at 315-442-5200.
