CLAY, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The company looking to buy Liverpool Golf Club is willing to go way over par to do it. The assessed value of the property is $1.3 million. The course is set to be sold at $6 million to Trammell Crow, the company looking to develop that into a large facility.
Mystery still surrounds just who would call the course home. The project could bring a thousand jobs and a four-story facility to whoever moves in.
“Well right now, it’s a speculative building and the thought is we’re dealing with several parties and that one would, definitely because of its location, be attracted to it, and so we’re going to proceed with that in mind,” said George Laigaie, Principal, Trammell Crow Company.
A recent traffic study says the roads will suffice if the proposal surfaces. New intersections will be put in along Morgan Road.
Trammell Crow has calculated the total cost of the project at $280 million.
The company has yet to buy the property.
Right now, the Town of Clay is working on switching the zoning for the site.
There’s been a lot of speculation on who might be the tenant for the giant warehouse and distribution center. That speculation includes Amazon, but we won’t know until the ground is broken on the project.
