You can tell it’s summer by that’s going around.
Checking in with doctors in Syracuse, at Brighton Hill Pediatrics, they are seeing Coxsackie Virus, also known as Foot and Mouth Disease because of the rash on the hands and feet and mouth blisters. Also on the list are colds and allergies are still a problem. They are also checking out tick bites.
In Liverpool, Dr. Dracker says some of his patients who came in with tick bites actually have Lyme disease. Other children have a virus with a fever and cough and allergies are sending people in for relief.
Lyme disease is also being diagnosed in Camillus. Dr. Rovall is also seeing Coxsackie Virus, swimmer’s ear and there’s a virus going around with a fever.
In Auburn, sore throats are going around, both strep and viral. They’re also seeing upper respiratory infections, allergies, swimmer’s ear and poison ivy.
At the Urgent Care in Fulton, poison ivy tops the list. They’re also seeing rashes.
That’s the latest from doctor’s offices. Your doctor can tell you about the best treatment.
