SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Chief Meteorologist Jim Teske was joined by Dave Longley to discuss this year’s winter outlook.

While this year’s Storm Team Winter Outlook has a foundation on the La Nina conditions in the equatorial Pacific Ocean, there are other factors to consider.

What about things like the active hurricane season? Lack of sea ice in the arctic? Our weather so far this year? Are they players in what Central New York can expect for the winter months?
